Steven Gross – Chief Investment Officer and Family Adviser
Prior to co-founding GGBwealthcare, Steven was Head of Research and senior Investment Manager of the Lowy Family Group (“LFG”), the family office of the founders of the Westfield shopping mall empire. LFG had a global mandate to source, research & invest in equity, debt and hybrid securities. During his 10-year tenure with LFG, he was an integral member of the investment committee which delivered an internal rate of return of 12.5% for the period from 1 July 1999 until 31 October 2008 whilst holding average cash balances of 35%. Steven has achieved investment successes in a number of diverse areas including global infrastructure, utilities, financials, healthcare and postal monopolies.
Steven has a strong network of global contacts encompassing investment banks, fund managers and corporate senior management.
Steven has extensive Project & Structured Finance experience having occupied senior positions at Lend Lease Project Finance and Banque Indosuez / Credit Agricole. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Steven is married with three children. He is very engaged in Sydney’s Jewish community and occupied the position of Vice President, Board of Management of Masada College, for more than a decade whilst his children were in attendance. Today, Steven lives in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Keith Betty – Chief Operating Officer and Family Adviser
Prior to co-founding GGBwealthcare, Keith was Chief Executive of the JSE-listed wealth and alternate asset management group, Peregrine Holdings Limited. During his 10-year tenure at the group he spent six years as CEO of Citadel, a highly respected private client wealth management firm and as a main board member of Stenham, an alternate asset management group based in London, Switzerland and the Channel Islands.
Keith, a qualified Chartered Accountant through Ernst & Young, has spent over 25 years in financial services with his passion being the provision of wealth management services to financially independent families. Accordingly, he has established relationships with many such families as well as international asset managers and service providers to the industry.
Prior to emigrating to Sydney, Keith was a member of the Johannesburg Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO) from 2004 to 2009 and served on the Exco for the 05/06 and 06/07 financial years.
Keith is married with two children and lives on Sydney’s North Shore.
